About Nokomis, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Nokomis is a Central Illinois city located in Montgomery County. Approximately 2,300 reside in this community, which is located near the small villages of Pana, Hillsboro, Raymond, and Taylorsville. There are three public schools in Nokomis – North Elementary, South Middle, and Nokomis High Schools – all of which are operated by the Nokomis Community Unit School District 22.

There are many businesses located in Nokomis that support the local residents. Nokomis is home to several great restaurants, including Demi’s Diner, Emil’s, and fast food stops like Dairy Queen and Subway. Dream Gifts and More is a popular coffee shop and also serves as a great place to find a holiday gift. Other shopping destinations included Nokomis Gift and Garden Shop, Brett’s Used Furniture & Appliances, and Sav-Mor Pharmacy. Nokomis is also home to several salons, including Suzzie’s Beauty Shop, Sooner Sun, Zoned for Hair, and Nicki’s Suntan Shoppe.

It is critical that residents of Nokomis invest in the best possible climate controls for their homes, as the weather here varies quite dramatically depending on the time of the year. During the summer, conditions tend to be humid and hot, with heat waves that can push temperatures well into the 90s. Residents need a cool place to beat the heat, and a central air conditioner can provide this safeguard. Not only will the right air conditioner keep indoor temperatures cool, but they can also reduce energy costs and improve air quality.

While air conditioning is a major asset during the summer, once the winter months begin, they’ll be turned off in favor of a gas or electric furnace. The area tends to be cold and snowy during these long months, with overnight lows falling well below freezing. New furnace systems with variable controls are more efficient than ever, and they offer energy efficient heat and quiet operations.
